Bingham McCutchen’s Tokyo office has recruited a seven-lawyer investment funds team from White & Case.

The group is led by partners Christopher Wells and Tomoko Fuminaga. Wells, a 20-year veteran of White & Case who has practiced in Japan for three decades, focuses on the Japan investments of overseas funds. He also acts for multinational financial groups on compliance and license qualification matters, and for foreign corporations forming joint ventures with Japanese partners.
