The chief investigator for the DeKalb County district attorney interrupted jury selection this week to serve a subpoena on a Superior Court judge with whom the DA is sparring.

Judge Mark Anthony Scott on Monday had just cleared the courtroom to question a potential juror individually when investigator W. C. Nix, who works for DeKalb DA Robert James Jr., attempted to serve a subpoena to the judge, according to a motion by Scott to quash it. A sheriff’s deputy escorted Nix out of the courtroom, the motion said, and a member of Scott’s staff accepted service later.
