Chicago-based labor and employment firm Seyfarth Shaw has recruited eight partners for an Australian launch.

Five of the new partners — Darren Perry, Chris Gardner, Justine Turnbull, Ben Dudley and Luke Edwards — are joining Seyfarth from Herbert Smith Freehills. Two others, Rachel Bernasconi and Michael Tamvakologos, hail from Ashurst, while Henry Skene was previously a partner with Arnold Bloch Leibler. Dudley and Tamvakologos will open a Melbourne office for Seyfarth, while the rest of the partners will launch the firm’s Sydney office.
