The Montgomery County clerk who started issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples this summer has been ordered to stop by the Commonwealth Court.
President Judge Dan Pellegrini cleaved to the technical issues and left alone the constitutional claims in the suit brought by the state's Department of Health, which filed a mandamus petition to halt D. Bruce Hanes from issuing the licenses.
