A defense attorney and former deputy commissioner for elections in Philadelphia, who had been suspended for five years in the wake of his 2004 conviction on mail fraud charges stemming from a ticket-fixing scheme, has been reinstated to the practice of law by the state Supreme Court.

On Oct. 4, the Supreme Court adopted the report and recommendation of its disciplinary board to reinstate Charles P. Mirarchi III, whose suspension began retroactively Feb. 23, 2006, from an order dated Sept. 7, 2007.
