In today’s social media environment, it’s not uncommon for users to post photos of alleged criminal acts. But now a Tulsa mother and her daughter are not only suing those deemed responsible for the lewd photo posts but have also included Twitter as a defendant.
The lawsuit was filed after the Booker T. Washington High School student was allegedly held by a member of her basketball team while another teammate took photos of her in her underwear, sending the pictures as tweets, which were retweeted over several weeks. It seeks at least $75,000 in damages and names the school, the teammates and their parents.
