Federal prosecutors will seek the death penalty against Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in the deadly bombings at the Boston Marathon last year, Attorney General Eric Holder Jr. announced on Thursday.
Tsarnaev was charged with setting off two bombs at the finish line of the race on April 15 with his late brother, Tamerlan. The bombings killed three people and injured more than 200.
