Simmons & Simmons has hired Beijing partner George Chan from specialist IP law firm Rouse to launch a China trademark practice.
Chan, who joined Rouse in 2009 as a Beijing-based consultant from Chinese IP firm Kangxin Partners, advises corporate clients on IP portfolio management, patent and trademark application, IP enforcement and dispute resolution. Formerly an experimental medicine researcher, he also has experience in gaining regulatory approval for pharmaceuticals.
