SAN FRANCISCO — The latest round of companies accused of entering “no-poach” pacts is preparing for a fight.

Microsoft Corp., Oracle Corp. and a handful of California animation studios are lawyering up and filing their first briefs, providing a glimpse into their defense strategies. The companies were sued for allegedly conspiring to not recruit competitors’ employees, making them late entrants to a highly publicized courtroom saga that has been playing out in Silicon Valley for several years.
