Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft has hired away a seven-strong corporate team from Latham & Watkins in an effort to expand its China and Hong Kong practices.

Led by former Latham China practice co-head Michael Liu, the Hong Kong-based team also includes partner Jane Ng and former senior associate Stephen Chan, who will be a partner at Cadwalader. Former Latham counsel Simon Berry, Olivia Wong, Terris Tang and Eva Tam also have joined, and an as yet undisclosed number of associates are expected to make the move as well.
