White & Case has hired a partner in Hong Kong.

Kyungseok Kim was most recently a Hong Kong-based counsel at Linklaters. He advises on private equity investments and mergers and acquisitions related to Korean companies. In January 2014, he represented Asia-focused buyout firm Affinity Equity Partners on the $5.8 billion sale of Korea’s Oriental Brewery Co. Ltd., along with KKR & Co., to Anheuser-Busch InBev. In 2012, he also advised Affinity on its $1.1 billion acquisition with Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC Pte. Ltd. and Baring Private Equity Asia of Korean insurer Kyobo Life Stake.
