A senior Davis Polk & Wardwell partner has confirmed that Tokyo managing partner Theodore Paradise will retire later this year and be replaced by the firm’s newest hire in Asia, Linklaters Hong Kong partner Jon Gray.
Hong Kong partner Eugene Gregor, who worked in the Tokyo office for 11 years before relocating to the Chinese city in 2011, said that he will soon move back to Japan to help facilitate the transition. Paradise is expected to leave in “the next few months.”
