Comcast Cable has looked within the extended family for its next general counsel. The division of Comcast Corp. has named Lynn Charytan as its next vice president and general counsel, replacing Doug Gaston, who will retire after helping with the transition through the first quarter of 2016.
Charytan joined Comcast Corp. in Washington, D.C., in 2010 after spending 17 years with Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr, where she was chair of the firm’s communications, privacy and Internet law practice group.
