In 2015, Uber Technologies Inc. was the company that plaintiffs lawyers loved to hate. Lawsuits target everything from driver screening to ad slogans to who really invented the ride-hailing app—and the company seems to recruit lawyers to fuel its defense fleet almost as fast as it adds zeroes to its whopping valuation.
