SAN FRANCISCO — Tesla Motors Inc. on Tuesday sued the auto parts supplier who made the hydraulic mechanism for a prototype of the doors on its new Model X crossover SUV.
The Model X’s “Falcon Wing” doors, which open vertically rather than outward, are a signature design element of Tesla’s latest model.
