A former law librarian at the South Texas College of Law has sued the school, claiming he faced racial discrimination on the job and was unlawfully terminated in 2014 after reporting the harassment.
Joseph Kelly Plumbar, who is black, claims that three co-workers at the Houston law school—all white—created a hostile work environment and pushed him out of his job overseeing library acquisitions. Plumbar also alleges that the school didn’t follow its own disciplinary, harassment and performance policies.
