King & Spalding has recruited Phillip Street as a partner and Craig Smith as of counsel from Paul Hastings for its health care and life science practice—one of King & Spalding’s priority areas.
Street said the two continue to handle integration transactions between hospital systems and physicians, which they’ve done for more than a decade. He said the newer development is that hospital systems are now collaborating to jointly offer services. Some are actually merging, as the health care industry continues to consolidate.
