An openly gay man who is HIV-positive has lost his lawsuit alleging he was subjected to a hostile work environment under the Americans with Disabilities Act and suffered discrimination under Title VII.

Southern District Judge Katherine Polk Failla dismissed the suit of Matthew Christiansen, who said he was persecuted at work by a boss who perceived he had AIDS, subjected him to ridicule and tried to force him out.
