Stephenson Harwood has officially formed an association with its Chinese strategic alliance firm Wei Tu to gain access to the Chinese domestic law market.
Guangzhou-based Wei Tu is led by partner Xianming Lu and also includes deputy head of office Zoe Zhou and two trainees. Both Lu and Zhou were formerly senior legal managers at Stephenson Harwood’s Guangzhou office until May 2014 when the British firm decided to close shop in the Southern Chinese city. Lu started Wei Tu in late 2014 and has since been in a strategic alliance agreement with Stephenson Harwood.
