Snow may still be falling in parts of the Northeast, but the games must go on. Major League Baseball’s 2016 season started this week, with big-league firms continuing to reap the benefits of representing the world’s best ballplayers.

Sidley Austin, McCarter & English and Winston & Strawn are among a dozen legal advisers that provided outside counsel and arbitration services to the Major League Baseball Players Association in 2015. The New York-based union, which represents the interests of roughly 1,200 MLB players, disclosed the fees it paid its advisers in an annual LM-2 filing with the U.S. Department of Labor on March 31.
