Stephen DiCarmine, the former executive director of now-defunct Dewey & LeBoeuf and one of two remaining defendants in the criminal prosecution of the firm’s former leaders, told a Manhattan judge Friday that he wants to represent himself as his case proceeds.
DiCarmine’s longtime lawyer, Bryan Cave partner Austin Campriello, said at a hearing that while his client’s finances are a factor, the reason was irreconcilable differences related to defense strategy.
