With a growing role in everything from national defense to delivering your latest order from Amazon, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)/unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) are redefining regulation and recreation. Colloquially known as “drones,” these devices are selling in higher numbers by the year, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) expects there will be 7 million flying over North America by 2020.

With drones expected to impact global commerce in the near future, there has emerged a need for law firms and legal professionals to help both organizations and individuals address regulations, risk assessments and registrations.
