Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, the two Indian law firms created by the split of Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co, have both expanded partnerships with lateral hires.
Joining Shardul Amarchand as head of the Chennai,India, office, G.V. Anand Bhushan was most recently Asia Pacific general counsel for Teaneck, New Jersey-based technology consulting company Cognizant Technology Solutions, where he led a team of 70 lawyers handling labor law issues, real estate transactions, government affairs and litigation matters. Before going in-house in 2007, Bhushan ran his own firm, Bhushan & Rajaram, for four years, specializing in trademark portfolio management and technology transfer.
