Baker & McKenzie, Herbert Smith Freehills and Singapore’s Allen & Gledhill are among the firms receiving most nominations for the third Asian Lawyer annual Emerging Markets Awards which recognizes matters and practitioners doing work in Southeast Asia and India.
Chicago-based Baker & McKenzie will compete with Latham & Watkins, Sidley Austin and White & Case for Emerging Markets International Law Firm of the Year; while Allen & Gledhill will race Drew & Napier, India’s Khaitan & Co and Indonesia’s Melli Darsa & Co for Emerging Markets Independent Law Firm of the Year.
