U.K. firm Clyde & Co’s China joint venture firm has hired a second Chinese law partner focusing on corporate and media and entertainment matters.
Clyde & Co Westlink has hired Yang Liu from Shanghai-based firm HaoLiWen Partners. Liu will continue to be based in Shanghai and focus his practice on M&A and media and entertainment work. He has represented clients on acquiring broadcasting licenses from Chinese television stations and has helped Chinese clients obtain exclusive licenses to broadcast popular U.S. sporting events, such as National Football League games.
