The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit on Jan. 6 wiped out a $1.1 million award of attorney fees to Cross & Simon, finding the amount was not supported by a lower court’s analysis.
U.S. District Judge Gregory M. Sleet of the District of Delaware had approved the award last February, as part of a settlement in a class action against invention-promotion company Davison Design & Development Inc.
