The SEC dispatched a lawyer to argue at the Sixth Circuit’s hearing in September. SEC lawyer Stephen Yoder argued that Congress adopted Dodd-Frank, in part, to establish uniform protections for whistleblowers in the securities industry “and not to create a trap for the unwary.”
