Ingram was remembered by colleagues for conducting a cool and collected courtroom, where with just a word he could silence even the most talkative of attorneys.

“This is a man who could project more vigor and force with one word than some others could by stomping their foot,” said attorney Allen Ruby. “I think attorneys actually objected less in his courtroom; we were always trying to behave ourselves.”
