Japanese electronics maker NEC Corp. said Thursday that it has settled a lawsuit in which it had claimed Florida-based Harris Corp. violated its patents involving wireless communications technology in the United States and Canada. Under the settlement, Harris, a major maker of air traffic control systems and wireless network equipment, has agreed to take a nonexclusive license under NEC's Digital Microwave Radio patents. NEC also agreed to dismiss all claims in its lawsuit.
