A California appeal court has signed off on the $1.1 billion settlement awarded in the consumer class action mega case against Microsoft.

The 1st District Court of Appeal’s decision late Monday effectively ends the seven-year case and puts plaintiffs lawyers at Townsend and Townsend and Crew and other firms a step closer to receiving about $101 million in attorney fees.
