Former Enron Corp. CEO Jeffrey Skilling’s attorney wasted no time in his cross-examination of former Enron investor relations chief Mark Koenig, questioning his code of ethics, dimming the importance of his position at the company and his expertise, and claiming he was testifying to save himself from jail time.
Koenig was the first witness in the federal fraud trial of Skilling and Enron’s founder and chairman, Kenneth Lay, in Houston.
