Avocent Corp., a maker of computer peripherals and connectivity products that last month agreed to buy networking equipment maker Cyclades Corp. for $90 million, is looking to do more deals.

Dave Perry, an executive vice president with Huntsville, Ala.-based Avocent, said in a recent interview that the company sees a range of opportunities to buy businesses that could broaden its product offerings, and analysts who follow the company say its ample cash reserve is likely to support Avocent’s acquisition plans.
