The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has confirmed an arbitration award of $68 million to Marietta, Ga.-based Solvay Pharmaceuticals Inc., in a case that turned on how judges interpreted a letter agreement.

One of the winning lawyers, Walt Addison Linscott of Thompson Hine’s Atlanta office, said the case had a lesson for businesses.
