The American Bar Association continues to assail federal prosecutors for taking what it regards as an overly aggressive approach to the investigation of corporate crime.
Last week, the group’s House of Delegates, meeting in Honolulu, passed a resolution — a joint proposal with the New York State Bar Association — opposing the U.S. Justice Department guidelines that many lawyers say have the effect of discouraging the payment of legal fees by companies to employees targeted in such probes.
