No matter what neighborhood they're in, businesses are fearing that they'll be the victim of a "drive-by" -- a drive-by lawsuit, that is. That's the term critics are using for suits brought under the Americans with Disabilities Act concerning disabled access, where it is suspected the plaintiff's real interest is to get a cut of the attorney fees under the table. But an attorney for one plaintiff who has filed 300 such lawsuits argues that businesses have had 14 years to comply voluntarily with the ADA.
