This is the end of a millennium (arguably), and it’s the end of a century. But it’s also the end of a year. We’re turning the page on 1999, a remarkable 365 days that began with a presidential impeachment trial and ends with the looming Y2K “disaster.” In recognition of those who have temporarily distinguished themselves for good or ill during the past year, we bestow the following honors.
