Coudert Brothers will merge with the 70-lawyer Australian firm Norton Smith & Co., in part to benefit from that firm’s stronghold in Asia.
While British and American law firms have taken the leading roles in the “colonization” of Asia, Australians have been moving out into Asia and populating those jurisdictions with a vengeance,” said Coudert Brothers’ chairman Anthony Williams.
