The parties in the appeal of a personal injury case which resulted in an $850,000 jury award have settled the case for $1.6 million — nearly twice the amount the jury had awarded, according to the plaintiff’s lawyer.
Charles Weiss, of Timoney Knox Hasson & Weand in Fort Washington represented Kevin Hyatt in a suit over injuries Hyatt suffered from a motor vehicle accident between the pick-up truck he was driving and a vehicle driven by Suzanne O’Brien, who was an employee for Roadway Package Service, said Weiss.
