A pair of defense lawyers are getting aggressive in their attack on the half-million-dollar fee petition submitted by the winning lawyers in a sexual harassment case by asking a federal judge to approve an on-site audit of the billing practices at the plaintiff’s law firm.

But the plaintiff’s lawyers are showing themselves to be equally aggressive, having won the race to court with a brief that asks for a protective order to bar any such audit.
