President Bill Clinton will issue a “call to action” to lawyers across America today in an ambitious effort to spur the diversification of the profession and achieve racial justice.

In a reprise of John F. Kennedy’s historic 1963 address, bar leaders say the president will ask the nation’s lawyers to “renew efforts to achieve racial justice in society and racial diversity in the profession.”
