Two veteran Bay Area defense attorneys have found themselves in the middle of the media maelstrom kicked up by the arrest of former Symbionese Liberation Army fugitive Kathleen Soliah.

Soliah went underground in 1976 after being indicted on explosives charges and conspiracy to commit murder. Prosecutors accuse her of placing bombs under two Los Angeles police cars in retaliation for a 1974 confrontation between police and the SLA that left six SLA members dead.
