A Cook County Circuit Court judge yesterday declined to issue a temporary restraining order that would have enjoined defendant Duane Morris & Heckscher from employing 11 attorneys hired last month in Chicago.
Judge Dorothy Kinnard also told the plaintiff, Jackson National Life Insurance Co., that it faced an “uphill battle” to secure a preliminary injunction against Duane Morris on the grounds that its 11 new partners presented a conflict of interest.
