In a case watched on both sides of the Atlantic, a federal appeals court has approved a lower court decision allowing British soldiers to sue the U.S. government.
Lawyers for the soldiers say the decision by the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals marks the first time foreign servicemen have successfully sued the American military under the Federal Tort Claims Act.
