Police officers who could not tell their left from their right might have cost a New Jersey woman nearly four months in jail. Brenda McCrary is suing the federal government, the County and the City, charging that police officers wrongly searched her apartment and arrested her. McCrary lives on the first floor of an apartment building, to the left of the front door. The police had a search warrant for that address, but for the apartment to the right of the front door, says her attorney.
