Two special-education advocates whose lawyer-like activities confounded Delaware’s legal traditions should be ordered to stop, according to the Board on the Unauthorized Practice of Law.
The board found that Marilyn Arons, Ruth Watson and their Parent Information Center of New Jersey engaged in the unauthorized practice of law by appearing at state Education Department hearings on behalf of five parents, all seeking individualized instructional programs for their disabled children.
