In a case that could have a wide-ranging impact on online advertisers, DoubleClick Inc. filed suit Friday against L90 Inc., claiming rights to a commonly used method of delivering advertising on the Internet.
Specifically, DoubleClick contends in DoubleClick v. L90, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, that L90′s advertisement serving and tracking software and hardware infringes its patent.
