There were more new partnerships created at large New Jersey firms this year than last, but with an increase in lateral movement from firm to firm, the net gain in partners stayed about the same.

According to the Law Journal’s annual survey of a sampling of the state’s largest firms, there were 76 new partners welcomed into the ranks. With a simultaneous attrition of 34 partners, the net gain in partners was 42.
