A woman who was adopted as a child might be able to view her natural parents’ medical records without their consent, the Pennsylvania Superior Court has ruled.
Remanding the case, the three-judge panel said the trial court failed to apply a section of the Adoption Act requiring a court to decide whether an adoptee has shown just cause for unsealing adoption records.
