An Internet site that posts public votes on the “guilt” of litigants as an alternative to traditional trials is headed for a day in an old-fashioned courtroom to answer for claims of libel.

Citizens for Justice — and two of its purported founders — are defendants in a defamation suit that Farmers Insurance filed Jan. 25 in the San Fernando branch of Los Angeles Superior Court.
