If you didn’t think associate compensation was high enough, Morgan Lewis & Bockius has come up with yet another perk — associates can earn up to $15,000 for successfully luring lateral associates to the firm.
While several large Philadelphia firms offer similar fees, Morgan Lewis seems to have upped the ante. Managing partner of operations Tom Sharbaugh said the fees have been in place for almost three years, with $10,000 now being standard and $15,000 being paid for hires in targeted transactional practice areas — as long as the recruit stays with the firm for at least six months.
